Although some people like to keep the candles as pretty ornaments, they are all designed to be burnt as candles and it is often only then that their true magic is revealed.  The pillar candles are carefully constructed so that the plant material lining the candle remains intact as the candle burns.  These candles show a magical world illuminated by the flame.  As each candle is unique you never know what will be revealed and sometimes it is the plainer looking candles that become the most fascinating as the light moves down inside.

These candles are designed to be enjoyed as a focal point and, as with all candles, they should not be left unattended when alight.  As the candles contain dried plant material it is particularly important to follow the general safety guidelines that are applicable to all our candles.  Full details of these are supplied below and on the information leaflet accompanying each candle.

Below are some examples of the different types of candle when alight.

General safety guidelines: The candles are designed to provide a magical window into nature.  This is best enjoyed by allowing the candle to burn down naturally.  The candle is constructed to burn and leave the outer botanical material intact.  Keeping the wick trimmed to 5mm is recommended to avoid the candle burning too high and reducing the risk of the plant material catching alight.  Please keep the centre of the candle free of any plant material or wick trimmings.  When alight, please do not place in a draft or move the candle or leave it unattended.   Keep out of the reach of children and pets.  Stand on a heat resistant candle dish (with raised edges) and away from any flammable material.  To help protect the outer edges, please do not burn the candle for more than 3 hours at a time and do not burn below the last 1cm of wax.
